Interface Upon Common Ground
The Upon Common Ground carpet tile collection was created in collaboration with Australian Aboriginal communities to honour sacred landscapes and places. The collection’s design language explores biodiversity and the deep connection between people and nature. It includes five biophilic-inspired patterns with seamless transitions: the Sandbank, Shallows, and Undulating Water carpet planks guide the eye from textured sandbanks to shallow shoreline waters and deeper flowing currents. The Dry Bark plank reflects the grooved and weathered bark of old, wise trees, while the Escarpment carpet tile draws inspiration from centuries-old coastal rocks and cliffs. Escarpment can be used either as an accent colour or as a standalone flooring solution across large areas. The colour palette is inspired by five significant Indigenous landscapes: the desert, the seashore, the rainforest, the lake district, and the coastal Spinifex grasslands. The carpet tiles are made with 100% recycled polyamide yarn, and the CQuest™Bio biocomposite backing contains bio-based and recycled materials. These durable and acoustic carpet tiles can be installed quickly and easily with TacTiles® connectors, completely without adhesive.
