Past Forward is Interface’s 50th anniversary carpet tile collection, combining bold nostalgic patterns with retro-inspired colours. Iconic carpet designs from past decades have been reimagined for modern modular carpet tiles. The patterns draw inspiration from Middle Eastern traditional rugs, Art Nouveau motifs, Rococo ornaments, classic 1950s designs, and the geometric patterns of the 1990s. The collection has been designed especially for hotels, offices, and lobby areas, where it works particularly well as area rugs for lounge and seating spaces. Area rugs created from carpet tiles are easy to modify, maintain, and refresh when needed. The luxurious high-pile carpet tiles improve acoustics by reducing both footfall noise and ambient sound. The collection can be combined seamlessly with other Interface carpet tiles and LVT flooring without transition strips. The carpet tiles are made with 100% recycled polyamide yarn, and the CQuest™Bio biocomposite backing contains both bio-based and recycled materials.
